And while we speculated this might mean the end of the chain's signature curly fries, it's actually a different potato side dish that's getting the boot: the Potato Cakes. According to The Takeout, Arby's has confirmed that Potato Cakes are being permanently removed from the menu as we speak.

Arby's has the meats (and the fish). The fast-food sandwich chain has a discounted Crispy Fish and Small Fry combo for $5 at participating locations for a limited time. The Crispy Fish sandwich consists of a panko-breaded white fish filet with lettuce and tartar sauce on a toasted sesame bun.

The lettuce adds some texture and maybe a slight cooling effect. The roasted jalapeno bits don't bring much flavor to the sandwich as they appear to be overpowered by the sauce.

It has not only got real heat (my tongue was finally tingling!) but it has a BBQ base that gives it a sweet, tangy note that pairs well with the other ingredients.
